Big Boy

Happy New Year! We are of course just spending the time at home. We had some action this week to talk about. As part of a state program we qualified for because Samson was in the hospital for > 30 days, we have a nurse who will come out to the house from time to time. She was able to make it out on Tuesday (snowy roads prevented an earlier visit). She brought a scale and Samson weighed a whopping 8 and a half pounds. He seems huge to us now after his 3.75 pound birth weight. The nurse noticed that he is showing all the signs of reflux, and so we took him to the pediatrician and got a prescription to help out. The amount of noise Sammy has been making at night has been increasing, thereby decreasing Debbie and my state of mind. Fortunately, reducing his reflux is suppose to make him feel better and help quiet him down. At the pediatrician's office, he weighed out of 2008 at 8 pounds and 10 ounces. His chub is expanding and I think he could now be called a big boy.

Here we have Grandpa Bob holding for the first time on Monday. Sammy is now less than negative 1 week old, as Bob pointed out. Just a few more days until his due date.
Vicki demonstrates a new hold and shows off her flexibility.
